What calcium does for isopods
Isopods need calcium to build and maintain their exoskeletons. They also recycle calcium during the molting process, including through the white mineral deposits that can appear before a molt. In captivity, a varied diet and calcium-rich materials help support that cycle.
That does not mean a pinch of powder fixes every molting problem.
