Welcome to BCO Mushi

We're passionate about bringing the fascinating world of isopods to enthusiasts and collectors. 

Our Story

It all started in early 2024 with a Rubber Ducky and Panda King isopod and thinking it would be cool to create a Panda Ducky. Little did we know at the time that was not possible and in fact the two species cannot really be in the same enclosure. Once we found out about those two isopods, we pretty much jumped straight in to the deep end of the isopod world. No Dairy Cows here. Don't get us wrong, Dairy Cows are cool, but we were drawn to the unique and exotic isopods and jumped in to the deep end pretty fast. As such, that is what we specialize in, is the more exotic, rare isopods.

When I first started getting in to isopods, there wasn't much isopod related merchandise. There also weren't many youtube videos or guides on setting up isopod enclosures. Some of the sellers we first interacted with were helpful with descriptions of set-ups but we wanted more visuals. Also there weren't many people if anyone that had some of the species we were able to get., so there was a good chunk of self learning. With this limited info out there we wanted to be a go-to place for isopod education and also isopod swag and hence BCO Mushi was born. This is why we also started our YouTube channel (linked at the bottom of the page) to help educate and share the information that we have acquired.

What We Offer

Beyond our carefully curated selection of live isopods, we also provide merchandise stickers, gashapon collectibles from Japan, and 3D-printed items to enhance your isopod care items. Beyond just stuff though, we offer a personal experience as we are a boutique shop.

Our Commitment

BCO Mushi is dedicated to providing healthy, quality isopods along with the knowledge and support you need to care for them successfully. Part of ensuring that you have healthy, quality isopods is to provide you with Captive Bred (CB) or Captive Bred and Born (CBB). We do not sell isopods directly from the wild, minimum they are Captive Bred, but a majority are Captive Bred and Born. I am a hobbyist first, which means I like to admire the isopods, figure them out and make sure they can survive and are well cared for. We are all about selling high quality products and giving you a high quality experience, whether that is from our packaging, to the quality of our 3D Prints, stickers, T-Shirts, etc, it will be high quality. By selling CB or CBB isopods, we know they will survive when they get to you and we are then also able to tell you about what their environment/ set-up should be like. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced keeper, BCO Mushi is here to help you succeed with your pods.
