Parakermania longa "Spiky Torpedo" isopods are one of the smallest isopods there are, but are also super unique. Named for its distinctive elongated body and pronounced dorsal spines, this species exhibits bold coloration and a unique shape. These are slow breeders and are often found under thin pieces of bark. They are burrowers.

Environment: High quality substrate that retains a bit of moisture. You can have a tiny bit of live moss as these like to be at the base of the live moss or on the tips. No leaves necessary, maybe one or two that are decomposed. Moderate humidity.

Food of Preference: Quality Substrate and bark chunks with lichen.

Behavior: These prefer nighttime but you can still see them out and about. These are also similar to ants in that they can easily be seen burrowing in the substrate.
