These Armadillidium Vulgare "Magic Potion" isopods were one of our first species here at BCO Mushi. They're a great beginner species that produce well and are hardy. They're also active during the day and can be found roaming about, not just burrowed down below in the substrate. We have these in our bioactive Crested Gecko enclosure, so are our recommendation for your bioactive set-up, just note your Gecko may eat them. Not recommended for frog or snake bioactives. Best part of these is their unique coloration that makes each one unique, like a snowflake.

Environment: These are found more so on the surface then burrowed in the substrate. As such, the substrate does not have to be as deep as cubaris. Lots of leaves and cork bark hides help these critters feel protected. As usual they need a mossy zone as well.

Food of Preference: Anything really. It seems these eat whatever.

Behavior: These do best in a well‑ventilated setup with a clear moisture gradient, allowing them to choose between damp and dry zones throughout the day.
